This way, you can have a clear understanding of what to expect and what you can leave behind.

Absolutely! Once you receive your Field Guide, you can easily check out the closest train and taxi routes for your convenience. We understand that our cabins are nestled in remote locations, and drop-off points may not always be readily available nearby. However, if you're an adventurous soul who loves public transport and doesn't mind embarking on a biking expedition, that can definitely add to the journey! If you need any assistance in planning your transportation, don't hesitate to reach out to us. We're more than happy to help you plan a route that is public transport-friendly and suits your needs.

Preserving the natural beauty of the local environment is a top priority for us. That's why we've made a conscious choice to restrict vehicle access near the cabins. Instead, we've created designated parking areas where you can safely leave your vehicle and embark on a pleasant walk to your cabin. Don't worry, we've got you covered with a convenient cart for your bags and a torch to illuminate your path. It's all part of the excitement of starting your adventure!

We kindly ask that you refrain from attempting to drive directly up to the cabins to prevent unintended damage or the risk of getting stuck. We want to avoid any mishaps that could disrupt your experience or harm the environment. Any damages to the grounds or surrounding areas may incur a fee, which we want to help you avoid. Our ultimate goal is to preserve the natural beauty and tranquility of the area, ensuring an extraordinary and unforgettable stay for everyone. We greatly appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter.

Through your booking, you have the option to pre-order a variety of provisions offered at each cabin. When it comes to food, we recommend checking out our recipes for inspiration and then heading to the shops along your journey to gather all the necessary ingredients. We want to ensure you have a seamless and enjoyable experience when it comes to your nutritious needs.

Easy! Think of it as your own adventure; all the cabins are ready to go when you arrive so you just head on over and off you go – i.e. you don’t need to interact with the Host of your site. Check-in after 3:00pm Check-out before 11:00am unless you're have booked a late check-out with us.

While we encourage disconnecting, we understand the importance of having a way to communicate in emergencies. For hideouts without phone signal, we provide an emergency landline on the property, marked on the map in your cabin's Field Guide. In areas with signal, stepping outside the cabin or returning to the car park will enable you to make calls, as cabin walls may create dead zones. If unable to use your phone or the landline, our hosts are available for assistance, but please respect their privacy and knock only for genuine emergencies. Remember to call your local emergency number for all emergencies.

Our cabins are carefully designed to be 100% off-the-grid, environmentally sustainable and have as little impact on piece of beautiful land they are located on. This includes the presence of composting toilets. These toilets operate similarly to those at home, with the exception of the flushing sound. They separate liquids from solids, which are then composted. We kindly ask that you use only the provided toilet paper. Other than that, everything else in our cabins is just like what you would find at home.

We get it - sometimes you just need to stay connected, even when you're trying to disconnect. That's why we provide free Wi-Fi in our cabins. It's not only for checking that occasional email, but also to listen to your favourite music, or for letting your creative juices flow… whether you're getting artistic, working from your cabin, or sharing your adventures with others while you're out exploring. And when you're out and about, you can easily share your memories and stay in touch with your loved ones. It's all about finding that balance between disconnecting and staying connected, and we've got you covered.

Your parking spot will vary depending on the location of the cabin. There's no direct access to the cabin by car, so you can start your adventure early. Walking (just a few minutes) to your cabin - we believe – adds to your adventure out in nature. Don't worry, we provide a nice cart at your parking space for you to easily transport your supplies to the cabin.

Rest assured, there are running water taps in both the kitchen and bathroom of our cabins, offering drinkable water. However, if you have a particular preference for the taste of your water, feel free to bring your own supply along. We want to ensure your comfort and satisfaction, so you have the flexibility to personalize your water source as needed.

With the overwhelming excitement from your side and only limited number of cabins available at the moment, we've decided for an invitation-based booking system – for the moment. So here's how it works: first, follow us on Instagram and then, reach out to your circle of friends and ask them to refer you to Offgrid. Once they do, they'll send you a personal booking code for you to be able to book your stay with us. It's all about unforgettable experience for you. We appreciate your patience and understanding and can't wait to welcome you to Offgrid for an amazing stay!

We understand that circumstances can change, and we strive to accommodate your needs. For changes made at least 14 days prior to your scheduled arrival, there is no cancellation fee. You have the option to reschedule your stay, receive a voucher for the full amount, or obtain a refund with a 5% processing fee deducted from the total. Please note that your first rescheduling is complimentary, but subsequent reschedules will incur a fee of €50 per change.

For changes made between 8-15 days prior to arrival, a cancellation fee of 50% of the total booking amount will be applicable. Unfortunately, cancellations made within 8 days of arrival present a challenging situation for us to fill the vacancy at such short notice. Consequently, no refunds, vouchers, or rebookings, whether partial or otherwise, can be provided.

Our cabins are thoughtfully designed with a comfortable queen bed (1.60m wide) intended for one or two adults. We absolutely encourage families to join us for an off-the-grid experience! While we're currently working on a special "sleep solution" for children, for now, your child would need to sleep in the same bed as you. We kindly ask that parents bringing kids acknowledge and accept responsibility for all associated risks. It's essential to prioritize safety and act responsibly both inside and around the cabin, as well as in the surrounding wilderness. We want your family to have a memorable and enjoyable stay, so please ensure a safe and secure environment for everyone.

We've partnered up with our amazing hosts to bring you access to our unique locations, and we take their concerns seriously. When it comes to pets, we understand that not all locations can accommodate our furry friends due to other animals on the property. But hey, we're working hard to have as many pet-friendly cabins as possible in each area! You can easily find out if a cabin is dog-friendly or not on its dedicated page.

Now, if you're bringing your doggo along, don't forget their favorite bowl and bed. Since dogs come in all shapes and sizes, we don't provide sleep mats. Gotta keep those pups comfy!

Here are our simple dog-friendly rules:

1. Keep your four-legged buddy on a leash at all times because some of our cabins have some other animal friends like cows and sheep nearby.

2. We'd appreciate it if you could keep your pup from hopping onto the bed. We wash the sheets thoroughly, but let's avoid any stray hairs causing allergies.

3. If your dog has a scratching or jumping habit, it's a good idea to leave the door slightly open to prevent any damage to the flyscreen or door. We want everything to stay in paw-fect condition. Any damages will be charged after your stay.

4. And of course, please always clean up after your furry pal. Let's keep the surroundings fresh and tidy for everyone to enjoy.

We are pleased to offer you a comprehensive range of amenities at our cabins. Standard inclusions comprise bathrooms with hot showers, fresh towels, and composting toilets with toilet paper. Our cabins feature comfortable mattresses, snug duvets, and blankets for a restful sleep. In the kitchen, you will find a full setup with a bar fridge, gas stove, and all necessary cooking equipment, including extras like salt, pepper, and olive oil. For your entertainment, we provide music, books, yoga mats, playing cards, outdoor fire pits with cooking equipment, and a few hidden gems. Your satisfaction is our utmost priority.

All our cabins are solar-powered, providing electricity for lights, the fridge, fans, and charging points. Some cabins have wall sockets for charging laptops and small devices, while others have USB charging ports only. Please note that wall plugs are not suitable for hairdryers or larger appliances. We kindly ask that you leave these items at home. Thank you for your cooperation.

Our cabins are just a short 1-2 hour drive from your chosen home location. For more info on each cabin, make sure to check out their specific page. We like to keep the exact Google Maps location under wraps until closer to your stay to respect the privacy of our hosts and guests.
